It was hard to blame Central Arkansas baseball team if the Bears didn't want to play a doubleheader Saturday instead of the single game slated at Brown-Stroud Field. The Bears' ace pitcher was ill, skipping his Friday night turn in the rotation. But the Sunday forecast was ominous and Demons' coach J.P. Davis decided playing two on Saturday was the prudent course to take.
Based on the storm that hit the area Sunday morning, leaving Natchitoches without power for seven hours, that was a great decision!
